MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner split its senior day doubleheader Saturday against Middle Georgia taking game one 3-1 and dropping game two 5-4.

Just one earned run was scored in the game of the four and it came in the first inning in the form of
Taylor Eddy. The left fielder doubled down the left field line before Bennett's single advanced her to third.
Ashton Fielding hit a sacrifice fly to plate the opening run.Â
After a double play,
Madison McKee reached on a throwing error starting a two-out rally.
Brianna Cagle's single to right-center drove in the third baseman before getting all the way to third before scoring on a wild pitch.Â
Carmen Phillips reached on a fielding error by
Jeri Beasley and stole second before Logan Blizzard drove in the consolation run.Â
Beasley allowed just three hits and no unearned runs in the complete game effort.
Cagle went three-for-three and Bennett had two hits.Â
Middle Georgia 5, Faulkner 4
A sixth inning throwing error pushed the Knights ahead for good in a back-and-forth game. With two outs, Bennett's throw to first missed the mark and plated the tying run and the eventual winner.Â
Caroline Newton drew a leadoff walk after taking the loss in the circle in game one for the Knights and scored the opener.
Ashton Fielding drove in
Shelbie Burbage for the tying run in the bottom half. Fielding knocked home the go-ahead run in the third represented by Eddy who was hit by a pitch in her at-bat.
Pinch hitter Riley Edge's pinch-hit two-RBI double pushed the Knights ahead 3-2 in the fifth before Fielding's mirroring double in the bottom half to put Faulkner up 4-3.
Fielding went three-for-three with four RBI.Â
The Lady Eagles welcome Judson Tuesday afternoon. First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
