John Mark Stephenson is in his second season as the head coach of Faulkner Men's and Women's Golf.
As a head coach, Stephenson led the men's golf team to its first tournament win since 2022 in the first event of the Spring 2025 schedule as well as numerous top five and top 10 individual placements.Â
A native of Valdosta, Ga., Stephenson began his relationship with Faulkner in 2009 when he enrolled as a freshman. He competed as an Eagle golfer from 2009 through 2013, earning his undergraduate degree in Youth and Family Ministry. From there, Stephenson went on to obtain his graduate degree in Christian Ministry from Amridge University.
He has served in various ministry roles including the the Young Adult Minister at the Prattville church of Christ and currently serving as the associate and connections minister at the Vaughn Park church of Christ.
Stephenson, who has played golf since the age of five, is married to the former Casey Crosby, who also attended Faulkner. The couple has two children, Josiah and Noa Jane.
