Emma Cornell attended Faulkner University from 2014-2018, graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in Sports Management. During her four years at Faulkner, Emma was a pitcher on the softball team and proud to have been a part of the first team to earn a World Series berth in 2018 as a senior. For her play that season, Emma took home First Team All-SSAC and Champions of Character honors with a 17-8 record and two saves, with a 1.57 ERA, 116 strikeouts, allowing 23 earned runs and a team-best .213 batting average against over 165.1 innings, while also being named to the SSAC All-Academic Team and being selected as Faulkner's Champions of Character recipient.
After graduation, Emma went on to earn her Masters of Science degree in Athletic Training in 2021 from Charleston Southern University. A native of Grove City, Ohio, Emma returned to Montgomery in 2021 and began her career as an assistant athletic trainer at Huntingdon College. From there she spent a year as an assistant at Auburn Montgomery, finally making her way back to her alma mater in 2024 where she currently serves as the Head Athletic Trainer.
