Box Score FRANKLIN SPRINGS, Ga. - After a sluggish start in Southern States Athletic Conference action, Faulkner looked to break into the league win column with a victory over Emmanuel here tonight. Despite fighting back from a two set deficit, the Lady Eagles couldn't hold off the Lions and fell in five sets 25-18, 25-22, 24-26, 20-25, 15-10.
Though Faulkner's hitting percentage as a unit was somewhat subpar, there were several outstanding individual performances.
Kelsey Bell exploded with her best showing so far this season. The junior outside cranked for 17 kills, hitting .233, and was second on the team in digs with 19.
Kelli Lamb followed with 12 kills, hitting .194.
Right side Ariel Riley posted 10 kills.
Morgan Wilson led the setters with 34 assists and Sarah Ford added 13.
Anna DeRamus led the defense with 21 digs and Lindsey Ortner had 16.
Faulkner dropped to 4-8 overall and 0-4 in the SSAC. The Lady Eagles will continue their league road weekend tomorrow when the face Southern Wesleyan at 2 p.m. in Central, S.C.
