Box Score MONTGOMERY, Ala. - The Lady Eagles dominated early, but then battled out of a 2-1 deficit to clinch their first win of the Faulkner Invitational over Southeastern University 25-21, 13-25, 18-25, 25-15, 15-12.
After a convincing win in the opening set, Faulkner hit a wall. Everything the Lady Eagles attempted on both sides of the ball failed and the home team suffered an embarrassing defeat.
Set two was better, but the home time still failed to play at its potential.
The offense once again clicked in set three and Faulkner dealt a hard blow to the Fire from which they never recovered.
Kelsey Bell led the offense with 11 kills, hitting .240, and had three total blocks and two service aces.
Taylor Dollison followed with nine kills, hitting .316, and logged five total blocks.
Morgan Wilson had 20 assists and a pair of service aces and fellow setter KK Lo had 15 assists and five aces.
Libero Anna DeRamus led the defense with 17 digs.
Faulkner earned its second win of the season to move to 2-3 overall. The Lady Eagles are back in action tomorrow at 11 a.m. against Martin Methodist.
