Box Score

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Senior outside hitter Kelsey Bell had a career evening and anchored the Faulkner senior class in a straight-sets victory over Talladega 25-12, 25-18, 28-26 here at Tine Davis Gym.

Faulkner's five seniors took center stage in the senior night match and dominated play until the third set. The Lady Eagles were ultimately able to overcome a rocky patch to ice the Tornados in front of a sizable home crowd.

Bell put down 20 kills hitting and impressive .395 and added 12 digs, four service aces and a pair of block assists. The senior's 20-kill mark is a career-high for a three-set game and matched only by her 20 kills in a five-set ordeal with Webber International earlier this season.

FAMILY

"This senior class has really been something special," said head coach Tori Bartels. "Every year it's tough to say goodbye to your seniors, but this particular group has been through a lot with this program. All five have been here all four years and they've grown tremendously in that time. They've really come into their own this season as players and leaders and I'm grateful to God for the impact they've made on this team and in my life."

Faulkner moved to 13-13 on the year and will host Southern States Athletic Conference foe Martin Methodist at 7 p.m. on Oct. 31 for the final home match of the season.
