MT. VERNON, Ga. - Faulkner scored in the 15th minute and held on to the 1-0 lead through regulation to earn its first Southern States Athletic Conference victory of the season here against Brewton-Parker this afternoon.

Kellen Roberts scored his first goal as an Eagle when he connected at the frame on a cross courtesy of Didier Atse.

Faulkner outshot the Barons 24-to-18, but both sides put eight bullets on frame.

Pritchard Ndaira (2-8-1) logged eight saves in the shutout.

Faulkner moved to 2-8-1 on the year and 1-4 in the league. The Eagles' next scheduled event is against No. 19 Mobile on Oct. 17 at John Mark Stallings Field.
