BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Southern States Athletic Conference titan opened the gates running against Faulkner this afternoon and never looked back. The Mariners dealt a tough blow to the Lady Eagles in straight sets 25-14, 25-15, 25-16.

The Coastal offense hit .321 as a unit and had 8.5 team blocks while holding the visitors to .070 hitting and just 4.5 stops a the net.

Alysa Klassen was the standout offensively for Faulkner with seven kills. The sophomore middle also had a pair of blocks.

Lindsey Ortner had 16 digs on the day.

Faulkner (17-9/7-6 SSAC) host Breanu in SSAC action on Friday. The match is set for 6 p.m.
