COCHRAN, Ga. - Faulkner (4-5, 0-1 SSAC) opened Southern States Athletic Conference play with a rematch against the team it defeated in the league tournament championship last year in Middle Georgia State (5-1, 1-0 SSAC). The Knights trailed only once following the game's opening basket and led by as many as 21 points en route to their fifth straight victory with the 84-74 decision here tonight.

Di'mar Hill made his regular season debut this evening and led the way for the 22nd-ranked Eagles. The senior guard who missed the first eight games due to a leg injury was true to form with 20 points and four rebounds and assists.

Lucas Luttrell had 13 points while Matt Maddox and Rene Scott offered up 10 each.

Logan Jozwiak was one point and rebound away from a double-double with nine of each.

Faulkner will next travel to Dalton, Ga., for an SSAC showdown with Dalton State. That contest is set for 3 p.m. central on Saturday.
