Box Score 1 | Box Score 2

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner closed out Day 2 of the Huntingdon Hawks Invitational across town today with a pair of wins. The Lady Eagles knocked out Pensacola Christian College 25-10, 25-7, 24-26, 25-9 this morning before returning to finish off host Huntingdon College 25-10, 25-18, 25-16 this evening.

Faulkner (6-9) hit .303 against PCC and .248 against Huntingdon and had 13 and six total blocks, respectively.

The Lady Eagles dominated PCC in three of their four sets allowing only two more total points in the combined wins than they allowed in set three alone.

A series of costly errors late in the lost bout proved critical for Faulkner while added momentum to the PCC attack.

Every Lady Eagle competed in the match.

Faulkner was strong in the opener against the Hawks, but backpedaled a bit in the second round before closing things out with a strong run.

The Lady Eagles then ignited a 12-0 start backed by the serving arm of freshman Ashley Ingwersen in the final set before the home team was able to start its engine. It was too little to late for Huntingdon, however, as the visitors cruised to a straight-sets win.

Freshman Madelyn Cheatham was the kill leader with 15 and had five block assists on the day.

Ingwersen had 13 kills, 20 digs, three block assists and four aces over the seven sets. She was also named to the event's all-tournament team.

Senior middle Alysa Klassen was on point as well with 11 kills and eight total blocks.

Sophomore middle Tori Marchant had 10 kills, hitting over .400, and added and impressive 10 total blocks.

Freshman outside hitter Daijah Washington offered up nine kills.

Freshman libero Julianne Wilkes had 26 digs in the six sets she competed in.

Sophomore Katie Musser produced 47 assists, 17 digs and four aces.

Sophomore Krystalynn Leomiti 23 assists, eight kills, four digs and three block assists.
