BRUNSWICK, Ga. - Faulkner (12-5, 7-1 SSAC) overcame a seven-point first-half deficit to defeat Coastal Georgia (3-13, 0-7 SSAC) by that same margin here in tonight's Southern States Athletic Conference battle. The 69-62 victory extended the Eagles' win streak to eight games.

The Mariners, which have collected just three wins this season, gained the lead with 7:31 remaining in the first half and held control of the board until an eerily similar marker in the second. With 7:34 remaining in the event, the Eagles regained the lead and never trailed again.

Freshman Rene Scott paced the visitors and led all scorers with 22 points and added a pair of steals.

Jose Jimenez followed with 14 points, five rebounds and two assists while Logan Jozwiak added 12 points and nine boards.

Lucas Luttrell dominated on the glass and led the floor with 12 rebounds and added seven points and a pair of blocks.

Faulkner will next host Bethel in SSAC action at Tine Davis Gym on Thursday at 7:30 p.m.
