MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner's women's basketball team (8-0) defeated Stillman College 67-46 on Thursday night at Tine Davis Gymnasium to remain undefeated on the season.

It was a slow start for the Lady Eagles, their first basket not coming until three minutes into the game when Kayla Tillman drained a three-pointer to take a one-point lead early on.

The first quarter was back and forth for the most part, and Faulkner only took a 13-10 lead heading into the second period.

The Lady Eagles then went into their full-court pressure defense, which caused a lot of problems for Stillman. They were able to force a lot of turnovers and limited their shots.

Savana Flack led the way in scoring for Faulkner with 18 points and added five rebounds to her tally.

Chelsea Burt was a stat-sheet filler, recording 13 points, seven rebounds, four assists and two steals.

Kayla Tillman was the third and final Lady Eagle to finish with double-digit points with 14.

Brandy Alley had a strong night on the boards, pulling down a court-high 14 rebounds.

The Faulkner defense held Stillman to just 32 percent shooting from the field.

"Defensively, I thought we were pretty good," head coach Reed Sutton said. "We rebounded really well in the second half. I'm really happy with that win."

The Lady Eagles next game is against Carver College on Tuesday at Tine Davis Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m.
