Eagles blow past Pensacola Christian

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner's men's basketball team (8-0) came away with its 10th straight home win against Pensacola Christian on Saturday afternoon by a score of 76-50 at Tine Davis Gymnasium.

 

The home Eagles went down two points to start the game, but quickly gained control and took a comfortable 20-point lead going into halftime.

 

Faulkner struggled to start the second half, and the visiting Eagles were able to cut the large lead down to just nine points with a little over 14 minutes remaining in the game.

 

The Eagles would go on a 13-0 run that lasted around five minutes to go back up by 20 points, and Pensacola Christian wouldn't make it close for the remainder of the game.

 

Logan Jozwiak led all scorers and rebounders in the matchup with 16 points and nine boards.

 

Adnan Halilovic had a strong day in the post, recording 15 points.

 

Marquis Grays rounded out the double-digit scorers for Faulkner with 10 points and added four steals to his tally.

 

Faulkner will jump into Southern States Athletic Conference play on Thursday when they take on Middle Georgia State at Tine Davis Gymnasium. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
