PUSLASKI, Tenn. – Faulkner's women's basketball team (13-2, 2-2 SSAC) lost 86-68 to the No. 19 Martin Methodist Redhawks on Monday afternoon.

The Lady Eagles took an early five-point lead, but Marting Methodist was able to go up by one with five minutes remaining in the first quarter, and they would not trail again for the remainder of the contest.

Freshmen Nicole Shirley and Ashlyn Adkins led the way for Faulkner in scoring with 18 and 15 points, respectively. Adkins also added six rebounds.

Chelsea Burt and Kayla Tillman each finished with 10 points.

The Lady Eagles will have time off heading into the Christmas break and will resume action on January 6 when they take on Fisk University in Nashville, Tennessee. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m.
