MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner's men's basketball team (10-0, 2-0 SSAC) cruised past Brewton-Parker 68-50 on Saturday afternoon at Tine Davis Gymnasium to stay undefeated and get its second win in conference play.
The Eagles jumped out to an early 6-0 lead within the first three minutes of action. The Barons were able to fight their way back into the game and even tie it up at 16 points a piece inside nine minutes remaining in the first half. Faulkner was able to go on a 17-0 run and took a 41-21 lead into halftime.
Brewton-Parker would not be able to get any closer than 19 points in the second half.
Adnan Halilovic led the way for the Eagles with 13 points and added four rebounds.
Marquis Grays came off the bench to score 12 points.
Lucas Luttrell was the only other Faulkner player to finish with double-digits with 11.
The Eagles will go on the road to take on Selma University on December 11. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m.
