Faulkner cripples Coastal Georgia in home finale

MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner (16-11, 11-17 SSAC) trailed for just 28 seconds in total, but led by as many as 24 points en route to the 90-73 victory over Southern States Athletic Conference foe Coastal Georgia (4-23, 1-17 SSAC) here in the home season finale at Tine Davis Gymnasium this evening.

The Eagles were paced on the scoring front by Di'mar Hill who had 21 points while adding a pair of rebounds and assists.

Logan Jozwiak was also stellar with a double-double night that included 20 points and 11 rebounds.

Jose Jimenez offered up 13 points, five assists and there boards win the lopsided win.

"The thing I liked the most tonight was our energy," said head coach Scott Sanderson. "We had great energy across the board. I broke it up a bit trying to sub guys in, but I knew that could happen if we got going. I thought we were locked in defensively and that allowed us to keep them to 33 percent shooting from the field. We have a big game Thursday against Bethel. Right now I want us to work on developing confidence in each individual player. That will strengthen us as a team moving forward through the weekend and into the conference tournament."

Faulkner will next travel to McKenzie, Tenn., where it will take on Bethel in SSAC action beginning at 7:30 p.m. Thursday evening.
