Hill has record night as Faulkner holds off Bethel 98-89

Box Score

McKENZIE, Tenn. - Di'mar Hill's career night anchored Faulkner's (17-11, 12-7 SSAC) 98-89 Southern States Athletic Conference victory over Bethel (18-12, 9-11 SSAC) here tonight.

The Eagles shot an impressive 59 percent from the field and 56 percent from 3-point territory, but it was Hill's 42-point offering that proved the knockout blow.

The senior guard shot 63 percent from the field while scoring twice as many points as any two players and hit 12-of-13 free throws. Hill also had a court-high seven assist and added four rebounds for good measure. His 42 points is the most by an Eagle since All-American Paul Little posted 43 against Brewton-Parker on Jan. 18, 2003.

Marquis Grays followed with 13 points while going 3-for-3 from deep territory and added five boards to the statistical printout.

Lucas Luttrell and Rene Scott each had 11 points and were both 2-for-3 from behind the arc while Logan Jozwiak added 10 points.

Faulkner will close out the regular season against Martin Methodist in Pulaski, Tenn., on Saturday at 4 p.m.
