Box Score The Lady Eagles (21-9, 12-2 SSAC) won their 11th consecutive contest Friday night with a 25-10, 25-15, 25-22 drubbing of second place Martin Methodist (16-10, 10-3 SSAC) to take a game and a half lead in the SSAC.
Faulkner played some of its best volleyball of the season as the team collectively hit .260 in the match with 49 kills. Krystalynn Leomiti led both sides with 14 kills. Alysa Vinson added 12. Kortney Barnes hit .500 with seven kills and Madison Sides .400 with three kills.

Leomiti and Daijah Washington each picked up 11. Leomiti also led the way blocking with two solo and four assisted efforts. Tori Marchant and Barnes each picked up solos as well. The collective defensive effort of the hosts held the Redhawks to a .044 attacking percentage.
Katie Musser was the sets leader of the evening with 24 assists in the Faulkner 6-2 rotation, only one fewer than Redhawk Sydney Arnold in their 5-1 rotation. Alyssa Stagner helped with 15 more.
With the win, the Lady Eagles need one win in their final two matches to claim the first conference title since 2001. "They're hungry," head coach Tori Bartels said. "They see that sign (the 2001 GACC Champions) on the scoreboard and they want to replace it." Faulkner has a chance to seal at least a share of the conference title and the top seed in the SSAC tournament Saturday afternoon against Bethel at 2 p.m. in Tine Davis Gymnasium. It will also be senior day with the ceremony after the match.
