Florida College (7-0-2, 2-0 SSAC) took advantage of a struggling Faulkner (4-6-2, 0-3 SSAC) offense Saturday afternoon in Temple Terrace, Fla. en route to a 2-1 result. 

The Falcons opened the scoring in the 15th minute and doubled their advantage in the 71st. 

Augusto Camara gave the Eagles a late gasp of hope in the 88th minute with his ninth goal of the season, but the equalizer was unable to be found in the last two minutes. It was the first goal Faulkner has scored in 425 minutes, spanning back to the 43rd minute against Talladega Sept. 22. 

The top six sides will make the SSAC tournament in early November. Faulkner is currently tied for sixth in the league with Dalton State; the two sides will square off Saturday in Dalton, Ga. at 5:30 p.m. in a critical Southern States Athletic Conference fixture.
