MONTGOMERY, Ala. – The Eagles basketball team (18-8, 10-6 SSAC) ended its home regular season on a high note with an 83-62 win over Loyola University on Saturday afternoon inside a packed Tine Davis Gymnasium.

The Wolf Pack took a very early lead to start the game, but that didn't last long as Faulkner took over with an 8-0 run five minutes into the match.

The Eagles took a 20-point lead heading into halftime and they would never look back.

Loyola attempted a comeback late in the second half, cutting the Faulkner lead down to 13 with around 10 minutes remaining, but a hot hand from Rene Scott put the Eagles back up by 21 after making four straight shots from mid-range.

Faulkner shot 50 percent from the field for the game, including nine 3-pointers.

Lucas Luttrell finished his last home game as an Eagle with a double-double 16 points and 10 rebounds.

Scott and Marquis Grays each tallied 14 points.

Adnan Halilovic rounded out the double-digit scorers with 12 points and added seven rebounds.

The Eagles will go on the road for their final two regular seasons games. First, they will travel to Cochran, Georgia, on Thursday where they will take on Middle Georgia State at 6:30 p.m. central time. Following that, they will face off against Brewton-Parker next Saturday in Mount Vernon, Georgia, with a 3 p.m. central tipoff.
