COCHRAN, Ga. - Faulkner (22-5, 9-5 SSAC) broke free in a back-and-forth battle against Southern States Athletic Conference foe Middle Georgia State (7-20, 3-13 SSAC) with a decisive fourth quarter to secure the 67-58 victory here this evening.

The Lady Eagles began to inch away from he Knights with approximately six minutes remaining in the contest and led by as many as 11 points down the stretch en route to the convincing win.

Faulkner shot 37 percent from he field and was paced by point guard Chelsea Burt who finished the game with 14 points.

Hannah Vest followed with 12 points and was 2-for-5 from behind the arc.

Kayla Tillman added 11 points, nine of which came from deep-ball territory, while Brandy Alley dominated on the defensive front snagging 11 rebounds.

Faulkner closes out the regular seasons on Saturday against conference opponent Brewton-Parker in Mt. Vernon, Georgia. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. central.
