Tremendous serving propels Lady Eagles past Brewton-Parker

The Lady Eagles (10-8) sealed a perfect weekend with a second consecutive three-set victory as Faulkner took down Southern States Athletic Conference opponent Brewton-Parker 25-12, 25-14, 25-13 this afternoon at Tine Davis Gymnasium. 

Nine aces from Faulkner kept the Barons out of rhythm and allowed the hosts to control the match. Katie Musser led the way with six aces.

Kyrstalynn Leomiti was lethal with her attacks once again today, hitting .500 over 10 swings. 

Faulkner's defense was also strong today with eight blocks. Kortney Barnes paced both sides with two and a half rejections. 

The setter combination of Alyssa Stagner and Katie Musser combined for 21 assists.

Libero Julianne Wilkes found 16 digs to lead the floor. She has done so in every SSAC match thus far. 

The Lady Eagles will travel to Hattiesburg, Miss. for a conference battle with William Carey on Tuesday. The match is scheduled to start at 6:00 p.m. Faulkner is 3-1 all-time against the Crusaders.
