A tremendous fifth set for the Lady Eagles attack lifted them to victory, finding 12 kills while committing just two errors.
Defenses were on display tonight as Martin Methodist limited Faulkner to a .132 hitting percentage while the Lady Eagles allowed a .104 clip from the hosts. Faulkner collected 108 digs and nine blocks while the Redhawks tallied 96 digs and eight blocks.
Daijah Washington, Alysa Vinson, Katie Musser and Krystalynn Leomiti all recorded double-doubles with one of their two categories being digs. Musser led the Lady Eagles with 33 assists while Washington, Vinson, and Leomiti recorded double-digit kills.
Service errors hindered both sides as 10 errors hurt the hosts and seven for the guests.
Faulkner will head to Bethel (Tenn.) for the SSAC volleyball game of the week Saturday at 2 p.m. to seek its first victory in McKenzie since 2013.
