Poor hitting costs Lady Eagles at Point

Box Score

The Lady Eagles (7-6) struggled to find their offensive rhythm tonight in West Point, Ga. to the tune of a 25-17, 25-11, 19-25, 25-15 road defeat to Point (7-7) tonight.

Faulkner hit an icy .046 tonight in front of 200 Skyhawk supporters, largely because of 28 attack errors.

Serving was shaky as well for the Lady Eagles as five service errors were committed to just six aces.

Tori Marchant led the side with 10 kills and four blocks. Katie Musser tallied 16 assists while setting partner Alyssa Stagner contributed seven. Alysa Vinson collected 16 digs on the evening.

Tatiana Dale picked up 20.5 points for the hosts.

"The very loud and hostile crowd made it hard to forget mistakes," Tori Bartels said. "There were some good moments just not enough to overcome a strong Point team."

Faulkner will look to bounce back quickly as they head to Waleska, Ga. to compete in the Reinhardt Tri-Match with Brenau and the hosts at 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. tomorrow.
