Box Score Faulkner took a late lead on a pair of Rene Scott (JR/Mobile, Ala.) free throws with 1:58 to play but could not hold onto the advantage in an 82-77 loss Stillman Thursday night.

"I thought we played much better tonight against a very quality team that hit a lot of timely, timely threes and some deep threes; shots you don't mind giving up," Faulkner Head Coach Scott Sanderson said. "Right now, we've just got to scratch out a win. That's the biggest thing for us."
The game saw seven ties and 19 lead changes with Faulkner winning the rebounding battle 41-34. The Eagles shot 44.8 percent from the floor in the second half while also making all 10 free throws.
Despite one of the best overall efforts for the Eagles, the game goes down as the sixth straight loss.
"I thought we scored it a little bit easier tonight. But the last four or five minutes, we just couldn't get a stop down the stretch. I did think that we played extremely hard and competitive. Hopefully we'll build on this game," Sanderson said.
Rene Scott paced Faulkner with 24 points. Garrett Sanderson (SO/Montgomery, Ala.) finished with 20 points while Milan Skundric (JR/Negotin, Serbia) had 16 points and eight rebounds.
"(Garrett) played his best game. He shot the ball well. He got some timely rebounds for us. Rene shot the ball better tonight," Scott Sanderson said.
Ravion Henry led all scorers with 29 points while DaQuan Forrest had 23 and Dantaveous Crawford finished with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
Faulkner (9-6, 2-5 SSAC) returns to action Saturday when it hosts Mobile.
