Box Score After 11 ties and 12 lead changes, Faulkner fell apart late in a 93-87 loss to Dalton State Thursday night. After tying the game on an Adnan Halilovic (SR/Mali Zvornik, Serbia) three with 8:07 to play, the Eagles allowed Dalton to put together a 16-6 stretch as the Road Runners ran out to a 10-point lead. 
Faulkner chipped away at the deficit the rest of the way, narrowing the gap to as little as four before time ran out. 
Dalton State snagged 40 boards as compared to 36 by Faulkner. The Road Runners also shot 50 percent from the floor and 42.1 percent from the free throw line in the win. 
Milan Skundric (JR/Negotin, Serbia) paced Faulkner with 25 points. Rene Scott (JR/Mobile, Ala.) finished with 19 points while Halilovic had 16 points. Sean Edwards (SR/Madison, Ala.) added 12 in the loss. 
Sean Cranney notched 24 points to lead Dalton State while Elijah Staley tallied 19. Malik Pugh scored 14 while Aaron Burress had 13. 
Faulkner (13-9, 6-8 SSAC) returns to the court Saturday when it hosts Martin Methodist at 4 p.m.
