Seven Eagles score in double figures as Faulkner drops Carver

MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner never trailed Monday while hanging 54 points in the second half on the way to a 100-70 victory over Carver Bible.

The Eagles jumped out to a 16-point lead in the first half before Carver narrowed the gap to six. Faulkner ended the half on a 10-4 run to move the gap advantage to 46-34 heading into the locker room.

The teams traded buckets until the 11:24 mark of the second half when the Eagles went on a 16-2 run to push the lead to 26.

Faulkner's bench outpaced Carver 53-9. The Eagles won the rebounding battle 40-26 and forced 20 Cougar turnovers in the contest.

The Eagles saw seven players finish in double figures in the game. Milan Skundric (SR/Negotin, Serbia) finished with 16 points. C.J. Williamson (SO/Guntersville, Ala.) had 13 while C.J. Jones (SR/Port Richey, Fla.) scored 12. Derrick Donigan (SO/Atlanta, Ga. ) turned in career highs in points and rebounds with his first career double-double, posting 12 points and 10 boards. Trace Hill (SO/Hartselle, Ala.), Jamon Moore (SR/Albany, Ga.) and Jacob Spence (SR/Fernandina Beach, Fla.) had 10 points apiece.

Faulkner (10-3) returns to action Thursday, Jan. 2, 2020 when it hosts Loyola. Monday's victory has the Eagles wrap the decade with a record of 191-122.
