Eagles unable to slow Stillman in road loss

Box Score

Fifth ranked Stillman started the game on a 10-0 run to fuel a scintillating shooting night in a 109-89 victory over Faulkner. The Eagles narrowed the game to a seven-point margin in the second half and stayed in it by shooting 44 percent from the floor.

Faulkner only turned the ball over 10 times in what was largely a well-played game. Yet, there was no accounting for Stillman's shooting. The Tigers hit 51 percent of their shots from the floor as well as 51 percent of their threes in the win.

Stillman, which edged Faulkner 45-40 in the rebounding battle, saw a trio of stars score 20 or more in the game. Prince McDaniel hung 40 while Ravion Henry and Giovanni Bray scored 20 each. Faulkner got 20 points from both C.J. Jones (JR/Port Richey, Fla.) and Milan Skundric (JR/Negotin, Serbia) while Rene Scott (JR/Mobile, Ala.) dumped in 19. Skundric also set the pace for the Eagles with 12 rebounds.

The loss snaps a four-game win streak for the Eagles. Faulkner (17-10, 10-9 SSAC) returns to action Saturday when it travels to Mobile.
