BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Mid-South Conference announced Appalachian Division Football Players of the Week, as released by conference officials Monday.

MSC Appalachian Offensive Player of the Week
Kade Young – Faulkner (Ala.) – r-Sr. – QB – Tuscaloosa, Ala.
§ Young completed 24-of-41 passes for 328 yards and three touchdowns in a victory at Bluefield (Va.)
§ He added 16 rushes for 106 yards and one TD
§ The senior tossed scoring throws of eight, five and 12 yards and scored from 36 yards on his rushing TD
§ Young earns MSC weekly honors for the fourth time in his career and second time this season
MSC Appalachian Defensive Player of the Week
Quan Neal – Point (Ga.) – Jr. – DB – Cedartown, Ga.
§ Neal registered nine tackles, 1.0 for loss, with a forced fumble and a fumble recovery in a home win versus St. Andrews (N.C.)
§ His forced fumble and recovery set up Point's first touchdown of the game
§ The junior posted five of his nine stops in the second half
§ He collects the second MSC weekly honor of his career and first this season
MSC Appalachian Special Teams Player of the Week
Alvin Renteria – Faulkner (Ala.) – r-Sr. – K – Phenix City, Ala.
§ Renteria accounted for 10 points in Faulkner's victory at Bluefield (Va.)
§ The senior made a 23-yard field goal to open the scoring versus the Rams
§ He connected on all seven point-after attempts in the contest
§ This marks Renteria's fourth career MSC weekly honor and first this season
