MONTGOMERY, Ala. – After more than three weeks of conference competition and double-headers, the Faulkner Lady Eagles needed a break to regroup. They got just that against the outmanned Judson College Eagles in a resounding 95-45 victory Monday. Faulkner never trailed, and for the fourth time this season, every Lady Eagle scored.
The home team continued its dominance in the series, as the 50-point margin was the closest result the Eagles from Marion, Ala. have ever mustered against Faulkner.
Ashlyn Adkins set the tone for the night with a three-pointer 14 seconds after Faulkner won the opening tip.
Jolee Cole's bucket put her team up 13-0 before Judson's first score. From there, the visiting Eagles made a run, making four threes on as many attempts, with three of those by Kendauria Brooks. With 8:41 left until halftime, Judson pulled to within six points, but Faulkner put an end to the rally with a 20-4 run, going into halftime with an insurmountable 52-28 lead.
"The word that we kept using was precision," Faulkner Head Coach
Reed Sutton said of the team's approach for the game. "We wanted to really play precisely and we wanted to be sharp. You know, I thought Judson did a really good job in the first half, hitting a lot of contested spot-up jumpers. Defensive rebounding is where it's all at for us right now. We're scoring the ball pretty well, but we just really did a good job, I thought, in the second half defensively."
Faulkner tallied a 53.3 percent mark from the floor, including 60 percent or more in the second and third quarters, contrasted with Judson's 27.3 percent. The host Eagles committed only one foul, and scored 58 points in the paint to the visitors' four, as well as tallying 39 fast break points and 45 bench points. They also blocked 11 shots, which tied for the second-most in program history. Adkins led Faulkner with 18 points, three assists and three blocks.

Ryann Sylvester put in her regular work on the glass with 10 points and 10 boards.
Evaiah Burrows racked up 17 points and five boards while
Morgan Holland had 10 points, six boards, and four assists.
Jacie Andrews' 10 assists tied with Adkins's and
Kayla Harbin's marks last season for the second-most in a game in program history.
