TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. – In one of its most complete performances of the season, Faulkner snapped a three-game skid and rolled by Florida College 82-62.

The Lady Eagles trailed for all of 16 seconds in the game. After an Audre' Anna Judie free throw opened the scoring,
Megan Wilkinson drained a three with 9:11 left in the first quarter to account for the only lead change of the night.
Channing Gafford and Wilkinson would then knock down two more consecutive threes to push the lead to 8-1.
Micala Fisanick later knocked down back-to-back threes for the 11-point advantage before
Morgan Holland scored the first two-point basket for either side with 3:10 left in the first.
The Lady Eagles carried a 20-10 lead into the second quarter before Florida College showed signs of life. The hosting Falcons worked the deficit down to seven before Faulkner turned away from the long-range barrage and began attacking the paint. Holland and
Jacie Andrews connected on back-to-back buckets in the paint before the former knocked down two free throws. Wilkinson then dropped a shot in the paint to move the lead to 15.
The 14-point halftime lead only grew as the game turned to the third quarter. Adkins went off for 11 points in the frame as she helped spark a 19-4 run that ran the lead up to 29 by the 1:03 mark of the third.
Florida College got back to within 14 before Adkins scored seven of the final nine points in the game to ice the 20-point victory.
The Lady Eagles made 17 threes in the game, putting them one shy of the program record for most makes in a game. Faulkner also assisted on 20 of 29 made baskets in the contest while shooting 47 percent from the floor and 43 percent from deep. Sutton's team won the rebounding battle 42-34.
Adkins concluded her night with 25 points, five rebounds and nine assists. Her five made threes in the contest moved her to 251 in her career, setting a new program record in the process. The previous record, 248, had been set by Kayla Tillman in 2018. Adkins' also drove her career point total to 1,402 with the win, making her just the third Lady Eagle all time with 1,400 points.
Fisanick turned in 15 points, three rebounds and two assists. Holland notched 11 points and 10 rebounds while Gaffordand Wilkinson also finished with 11 points each.
Faulkner (12-12, 5-6 SSAC) is set to wrap its regular season Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m. against Florida College.
