Faulkner wrapped up its three-game set with Judson University Saturday with a pair of blowout wins in a doubleheader.

The Eagles handed the ball to
Antonio Frias (3-0) in game one of the day and the senior southpaw responded with 13 strikeouts over five and two-thirds innings of work while allowing five hits, three walks and three earned runs in the win.
Judson scored in the top of the first to take a 1-0 lead before Faulkner got on the board in the bottom of the second and scarcely looked back.
Bo Seccombe started the rally with a one-out double to left ahead of a
Justin Lara walk. The pair moved up on a passed ball before a second passed ball scored Seccombe and advanced Lara to third. After a
Jonathan Villa walk, Judson caught pinch runner
Mike Battle in a rundown but the senior stayed alive long enough for Lara to score on a delayed steal of home to put Faulkner up 2-1.
The hosting Eagles added to the lead in the bottom half of the third when
Isaac Phillips hit a leadoff double down the left field line before
Alex Arauz blasted a home run on a 2-0 pitch for the 4-1 advantage.
Faulkner broke the game open in the bottom of the fourth. Phillips singled in
John Michael Mathews to make it 5-1. Arauz doubled home
Mike Battle and Willy Taveras for the 7-1 lead.
Tommy Reyes-Cruz later doubled in
Shawn Ross and
Justice Lucas to make 9-1.
After Judson plated two runs to cut the deficit to 9-3, Faulkner scored three times in the bottom of the sixth.
Lucas hit a solo homer to make it 10-3. Battle then singled before
Sam Anthony's homer to cap Faulkner's scoring.

Judson got a 2-run homer in the top of the first inning to open the scoring. Faulkner answered with four runs in the home half of the second to flip the game.
Reyes-Cruz and Anthony each drew one-out walks before Lucas singled to center to load the bases. Mathews drew a bases-loaded walk to plate Reyes-Cruz to narrow it to 2-1. Villa then stroked a 3-RBI double to left-center to put Faulkner up 4-2.
The score stayed there until a two-out rally in the bottom of the fourth. Mathews walked, stole second and moved to third on a fielder's choice before scoring on an error. Ross singled home
Isaiah Brooks before scoring a run of his own on an Arauz single. Reyes-Cruz then hit a two-run homer to put Faulkner up 9-2. In the fifth, Villa hit a 2-run shot to make it 11-2. In the sixth, Arauz singled and gave way to pinch runner
Ford Hilyer who scored on a bases-loaded walk to Mathews.
J.C. Toro (2-0) got the win for Faulkner, striking out eight batters over six innings while allowing five hits, a walk and three earned runs.
Faulkner (10-1) plays again next weekend when they host Clarke University. Â
