Four-game win streak snapped by Lady Falcons

TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. - A rough night for the Lady Eagles snapped a four-match win streak in a 3-0 (25-17, 25-21, 25-14) defeat to Florida College.

Faulkner (8-8, 6-4 SSAC) killed just 22 points while hitting 25 errors on 125 attacks, a stark contrast to the attack that hit .350 or better the previous two matches.

The Lady Falcons went on a 7-0 run to break open a 6-6 tied first set. Set two, Faulkner jumped to a 8-6 lead but the hosts rattled off a 6-1 run to take a lead it wouldn't surrender despite some close calls.

Three straight Lady Eagle attack errors at 3-3 pushed Florida College into the lead in the final set for good, with the Falcons hitting .225 in the last frame with 17 kills.

Kortney Barnes recorded four solo blocks and two assisted blocks. Alyssa Stagner recorded a double-double with 11 digs and assists. Macy Kemper led the team with 12 digs. Hannah Bryan had six kills to pace the attack.

The Lady Eagles travel to Mt. Vernon, Ga. to take on Brewton-Parker Saturday at 2 p.m.
