MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Two penalty kicks three minutes apart converted by Miagh Downey ended the Lady Eagles season in a 2-0 loss at the SSAC semifinals Wednesday at the Emory Folmar Soccer Complex. 

The first one came off a foul called on a tackle from Adamarie Moreno. Megan White guessed the right way, but just too well struck by Downey to be kept out in the 60th minute. In the 63rd, Taylor Strength was whistled for a handball while falling down. White's kick save attempt on the ensuing penalty could not stop the strike from the SSAC Golden Boot winner. 

White stopped all 12 shots on target excluding the penalties. 

The Lady Eagles conclude the season 6-12 with tied for the highest regular season conference finish in program history and its first postseason win since 2012.
