Box Score JACKSON, Tenn. - After knocking on the door all night, Faulkner (0-1) broke through and equalized in the 73rd minute before Freed-Hardeman (2-0) found the match winner seven minutes later to hand the Eagles a 2-1 loss to start the season Tuesday night at Union University's field. 

Jack O'Riordan scored the winner in the 80th after assisting the first goal to Kenneth Ramirez in the 20th. 

Sam Kelly scored his first of the season to draw level, converting a one-on-one set up by a lobbed through ball played by Heming Solberg Andersen. The tally is the 14th from the Englishman in his career. Solberg Andersen's assist came in the first appearance by a Norwegian in Faulkner Men's Soccer. 

The Eagles statistically outplayed the Lions, shooting four more times, putting one more on target and taking seven more corners. However, Faulkner was offside five more times and committed three more fouls. 

Five Eagles started their first match for the squad. 

Faulkner looks to rebound Friday night when future conference member Life comes to Billy D. Hilyer Stadium for a 6 p.m. kickoff.
