MARIETTA, Ga. - Faulkner took the first set on the road trying to spoil Life's senior night, but the Lady Eagles dropped the next three sets to fall 3-1 to the Running Eagles Friday night in a road game.
A massive 8-0 run flipped a 16-10 deficit into a lead that changed the momentum. Tied at 24 in the first set,
Hannah Bryan closed the set after a Life attack error to take the match lead. Life pulled away in the second set with a 10-2 run up to 20-15 to even the match. A 9-2 Life run put the third set out of reach at 20-14.
Faulkner took a 14-9 lead in the fourth trying to force the fifth, but an 8-1 run flipped the script for the hosts to clinch the match.
Molly Presnell totaled 15 kills and 11 digs.
Haven Owings had 11 kills.
Alexis McInroy led the team with 16 digs.
Alyssa Stagner led the team with 19 assists and 10 digs.
Mandi Hart added 17 assists.
The Lady Eagles wrap up the regular season Saturday against Talladega at noon.
