Kinlee Varnell made a free throw with 7:19 to go that launched a 13-0 run.
Morgan Holland and
Evaiah Burrows made back-to-back layups to slice the deficit to 56-43. Holland hit another layup at the 5:55 mark to cut it to 11.
Nequoia Adams then went on a personal 6-0 run to get her team to within five at the 2:53 mark.
Point managed to pull away from that point, ending the game on an 8-3 run to finish off the win.
Faulkner shot 33.3 percent from the floor and just 11.8 percent from beyond the arc. Point won the rebound battle 36-29 and took points in the paint 34-28. Adams topped Faulkner with 19 points while Varnell added 10.
Faulkner (11-3, 3-1 SSAC) returns to action Tuesday when it hosts Loyola at 5:30 p.m.
