MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner trailed by as many as eight in the first half Thursday before surging past Middle Georgia State 89-69 to move to the SSAC semifinals.

The Eagles shot 47 percent from the floor and 39 percent from beyond the arc in the game while winning the rebound battle 37-33.

Jalon Perry scored 26 points in the effort. C.J. Hines had 14 while Trace Hill had 13 points. Isaiah Brooks finished with eight points and 11 rebounds.

Faulkner (24-5) takes on Talladega Friday night at 7 p.m. in the SSAC semifinals.
