MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner (3-7-2, 0-6-1 SSAC) fell behind early in a flurry of goals to the #11 Firehawks (12-3-2, 7-1-1 SSAC) The Firehawks, who are 4th in goals scored in the country, took a 2-0 lead at half and added three more in the second 45 minutes of play.Â
Despite the score the Lady Eagles put up an impressive defensive effort against a fiery UT Southern offense. The Firehawks had 24 total shots and put ten on target. Keila Cardeiro totaled five saves. Alessia Confalonieri had the lone pair of shots on goal for the Faulkner offense.Â
The Lady Eagles look to bounce back with their final home game of the season when Blue Mountain Christian travels to Billy D. Hilyer Stadium for a 5 p.m. kickoff this Saturday
