MOBILE, Ala. - The Faulkner Women's Soccer season closed in a roller coaster loss to Mobile 4-3 as an 89th minute goal from the Rams on their senior day ended the match with home celebration.
In the 15th minute, Mobile jumped ahead but Faulkner immediately responded with an 18th minute goal from
Ainsley Lockwood as
Daley Joyner assisted her. Lockwood then buried a penalty in the 20th minute to take the lead just five minutes after falling behind. Lockwood completed her first career brace with the strike from the spot.Â
In the 36th, the Rams equalized but the level scoreline would not remain long as
Ashlei Bryant found
Jessica Jaimes in the 37th. Jaimes has scored two of her three career goals against Mobile.Â
The lead remained until late in the match as
Faith Rush collected 11 saves in the contest but the Rams scored in the 80th to draw level once more. Izzabella Payne scored the match winner in the 89th.Â
The Lady Eagles wrapped up the season at 4-8-4 and 1-7-2 in SSAC play.Â
