MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner put together a second half run that allowed it to open up a 12-point lead before fading down the stretch in a 75-66 loss to Keiser Saturday night. The Eagles ended the first half on a 6-0 run to cut the deficit to 31-29 heading into the locker room. Faulkner started the second on an 18-5 run but saw the lead disappear when the Seahawks answered with an 18-5 stretch of their own to go up 54-52 with 8:01 to play. Keiser ran the lead back to 11 by the 57-second mark to finish off the win.
The Seahawks shot 38.7 percent from the floor and 25.9 from beyond the arc. The Seahawks also knocked down 20 of 25 free throws on the night.
Faulkner shot 35.8 percent from the floor and 32.3 percent from three.
J.C. Norris led Faulkner with 20 points while
Jayden Cooper had 18.
T.J. Williams added 10 points.
Faulkner (2-2) opens Southern States Athletic Conference play Thursday when it travels to Loyola.
