MONTGOMERY, Ala. – Faulkner struggled defensively Friday night, putting itself in a precarious position early on the way to a 6-1 loss to Middle Georgia State. The Eagles committed four errors in the contest, helping contributed to the first run of the game and to a big fourth inning as the bats struggled to time up Hunter Varnadoe.
Jacob Pierce moved to third on a two-base throwing error in the first and scored on an Andrew Krauss single to left-center to stake the Knights to a 1-0 lead. An error in the fourth allowed two runs to score, setting off a four-run frame.
