Lady Eagles Fall in Four to Point

MONTGOMERY, Ala.- Faulkner (1-8, 0-2 SSAC) finishes their two-game homestand in Tine-Davis with a 1-3 (18-25, 25-23, 23-25, 13-25) loss to Point (5-5, 3-0 SSAC).

The game featured several back-and-forth battles throughout the sets, the margin within one or two points.

After dropping the first set, Faulkner fell behind early in set 2, 7-3, when an Emma Parker service error sparked a 5-0 Lady Eagle run to pull them ahead by 1. The two traded blows until a quick 3-point swing put Faulkner within 3 of winning the set. A kill from Sameily Marquez and an error from Ellie Cyr put Point within striking distance to steal the set away, but a Rhi Keck kill closed it out for the Lady Eagles.

Mandi Hart finished with 14 Assists and 11 digs, While Victoria Wheeler had a career-high 11 kills in the contest.

Faulkner will be in action again on Friday, September 22, traveling to Cochran, GA for a matchup with Middle Georgia.
