Box Score MCKENZIE, Tenn. – The middle quarter proved problematic for Faulkner Saturday as it fell 56-0 to Bethel in the final game of its 2024 football season. Bethel scored 28 points in each of the second and third quarters to put away the win on a day in which it compiled 395 yards of total offense.
The Wildcats opened the scoring with a Jordan Cason 14-yard run early in the second quarter. A Gianni Gamble pick-six followed by a rushing touchdown from Andre Neal and a scoring pass from Avaun Rucker to Jamarion Ferguson accounted for the 28-0 halftime lead. Rucker later threw two touchdown passes to Shawne Jones before Neal and Ryan Kirk each added scoring rushes.
For its part, Faulkner finished with 94 yards of total offense with
Duece Marshall passing for 110 yards and
Drea Shumaker leading the way with 43 yards receiving.
Matthew Witherspoon led the defense with six tackles while
Caleb Williams had an interception.
Cole Porch punted eight times for an average of 40.8 yards per kick.
Faulkner finishes the season at 2-8 overall and 0-6 in the Mid-South Conference.
