"We are really happy with the performance of our teams this morning at our conference meet. Seven women earned personal records in the 6k. Four men earned PRs in the 8k. We smashed team records on both sides. Everyone on the teams competed with courage and competitiveness. I am very proud of them.
We are so grateful to our seniors for their contributions to our program. They took in a new coaching staff, bought in, and helped establish a legacy of hard work, dedication, and courage that all future Eagle teams will have to live up to.
We are truly excited about the returners we will have and the future of the program. The athletes came off the course and were already asking about the workouts for the rest of the semester. They are hungry for more. The future is bright!
I want to thank our administration for their support. I want to thank my staff of Coach Britton and Al Millergren for their daily dedication to our athletes. I want to thank the parents of our athletes for their support and encouragement throughout the season. It's a great time to be an Eagle!" said Coach Sutton.
