GREENWOOD, Ind. - College Sports Communicators released its 2025-26 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track & Field teams. CSC recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in athletic competition and in the classroom. The program separately recognizes cross country/track & field honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA. For the first time in program history, Faulkner has seen one of its cross country athletes earn All-District honors as Chloe Helms adds one more award to her decorated Faulkner career.
Helms is coming off a sophomore season in which she took home First Team All-SSAC and SSAC Women's Cross Country Scholar-Athlete Team honors while becoming the second Faulkner harrier to make the NAIA Cross Country Championship field and the first since the sport's reintroduction at Faulkner and official program beginning in 2022. It was her second All-SSAC season after her All-Freshman Team plaudit in 2024. She earned the nationals bid as one of the top four finishers not on the winning team at the SSAC Championship, while carrying a 3.54 cumulative GPA as an Exercise Science major.
Her sixth-place finish at the SSAC Women's Championship for the best conference finish and finish percentage of 91.04% in program history. After her seventh-place finish in 2024, she owns the top two finishes, finish percentages, individual paces and 6K times in Faulkner men's and women's history in SSAC Championships.
Across her two seasons as a Lady Eagle, Helms holds an average 5K time of 0:19:24 and an average 6K time of 0:23:14, to go with an average 6K finish percentage of 85.35%. She has completely rewritten the program record book as she now owns the top seven and nine of the top ten best all-distance paces along with the top seven and eight of the top ten highest overall finish percentages in program history. Breaking those superlatives down further, Helms owns the top six 6K times, top five 6K finish percentages, five of the top six 5K times and four of the top five 5K finish percentages in Faulkner women's cross country history.
