Box Score Pulaski, Tenn. -  The Faulkner Eagles traveled to Pulaski, Tennessee to take on the UT-Southern Firehawks Thursday night. Despite shooting well from the floor the Eagles were unable to beat the Firehawks on the road with a score of 84-63. 
 
The game started close, but the Firehawks were able to command a 10-point lead early in the first half with a barrage of buckets from Firehawks players. The Eagles would see themselves down 44-25 going into the half. 
 
In the second half, the Firehawks commanded their lead on the Eagles. The lead never dropped below 18 points during the remainder of the game. The Eagles still fought for the entire game despite being down past the 16:23 mark in the first half. Faulkner shot from behind the arc at 37.5 percent and 40.7 percent from the floor. The Eagles also outshot the Firehawks 83.3 percent to 44.4 percent from the charity stripe. Yet, the Firehawks were able to capitalize off second-chance points and turnovers. The Firehawks outrebounded the Eagles 36 to 26 with 11 second-chance points and had 16 points off turnovers. 
 
Jayden Cooper led the Eagles with another double-digit scoring night. He had 23 points and nine rebounds. Victor Muñoz added 17 points of his own. J.C. Norris and Jonathan Garcia contributed eight points apiece to round out the starters. 
 
Faulkner (11-13, 6-10 SSAC) returns to action for Senior Day Saturday at 2 p.m. when they host Dalton State College.
