MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner (7-11, 2-6 SSAC) fought hard, but the depth of Mobile (15-2, 6-2 SSAC) was too much to overcome in a 3-0 loss (25-16, 25-20, 25-18) at Tine Davis Gymnasium on Friday night.  

While both teams scored double-digit kills in each frame, the Rams outhit the Lady Eagles .440 to .221 and took the box score in every category. After falling behind early in the first set, Faulkner scored first in the second and third frames, which saw seven and five lead changes, respectively.  

All of Faulkner's scoring came from five hitters. Charlee Jordan led the squad with 11 kills on 21 swings for a .429 hitting percentage. Kaleigh Moss was just back of her with 10 kills on .261 hitting, and Riley Deem was one kill behind that on .375. Madison Martin added six kills and Allyse Rudolph put up five. Sophie Dorris led Mobile with 11 kills on .391 hitting. Corrina Porch-Maxey, the conference leader in kills per set, scored 10 on a .476 day. Emma Hampton and Peyton Frazer scored eight on .538 and .400 hitting, respectively. 

Faulkner is back in action next Friday, October 10, at 6 pm at William Carey before traveling to Loyola the next day, looking to avenge a pair of 3-1 home losses two weeks ago.
