MONTGOMERY, Ala. - Faulkner stayed close with No. 1 seed and nationally ranked Mobile in the first set and won the second in the guaranteed final match of its season in Pool A before falling behind early in the third and fourth sets as the Rams (28-2, 14-2 SSAC) held off the Lady Eagles (9-22, 3-13 SSAC) to advance to the semifinals 3-1 (25-19, 20-25, 25-17, 25-11).  

The Rams scored the first five points and the last four in the first set to counteract any momentum Faulkner generated as it outhit the 8-seed .182 to .083 despite three less kills by committing just three errors to the latter's 10. The Lady Eagles got an early lead in the second set, and the teams traded the lead four times. Trailing 19-18, Faulkner ended the set on a 7-1 run as it outhit the top seed .258 to .226 in the frame. Mobile took advantage of timely runs as they did in the first to go up 2-1. It then scored five of the first six points of the fourth set to keep the advantage and closed on an 8-0 run as it outhit Faulkner .393 to .154 for the frame to finish the Lady Eagles' season. 

Allyse Rudolph led Faulkner with 11 kills with two aces and three blocks. Deem led the team in blocks with four and hit .643 with 10 kills on 14 swings. Madison Martin scored nine kills on .313 hitting. Charlee Jordan scored eight kills in her final match in a Faulkner jersey. Senior setters Mandi Hart and Ellie Cyr put up 23 and 22 assists, respectively, in their last game. Kolbi Bates and Jaylyn Strength each had 14 digs and Cyr had 11.
