KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Two Faulkner Men's Golfers picked up huge accolades Thursday, being named All-Americans as announced by the NAIA.
Rodolphe Cicala picked up another honor to his highly decorated season, being selected as a one of the 15 NAIA First-Team All-Americans, becoming the first men's golfer to earn the NAIA's official award. Daniel Jansen was selected to the PING All-American first team in 2014 but was not selected to any of the NAIA's teams that season. The Biarritz, France native finished the NAIA National Tournament as the runner-up and ranked as the sixth best golfer according to the Clippd Scoreboard rankings, with an adjusted scoring average of 69.6.
Gabriel Dulon Villoslada also made history, being the only other golfer to earn any all-American honor from the NAIA, placed on the second team. The native of Hossegor, France finished his freshman season ranking 20th in the Clippd rankings with an adjusted average score of 70.7 with five top five finishes on the season. He is one of four freshmen on the first and second teams and is one of six to be on any All-American team along with SSAC Freshman of the Year Ben McFadden from Dalton State who placed on the third team.
The duo is part of seven SSAC golfers to be on the first, second and third teams.
